UPDATE: The store will open on Thursday 11 June.
A spokesperson for TK Maxx has told Wexford Hub that the store will open at the end of May. Since that announcement, the opening date has been confirmed as 11 June. The department store chain, which will occupy the Stonebridge development on Wexford Town’s quay-front, will employ up to 40 people.
Media reports in October had estimated that the store would open in March 2015 “at the earliest.” However, the company has now confirmed this timeframe, provided the store-fitting process does not run into any unforeseen problems.
The recruitment drive for the TK Maxx store in Wexford will start at the beginning of March. During this period, the company will advertise vacancies on its recruitment website.
