The proposed opening date of T.K. Maxx in Wexford Town has been set for Thursday, 11 June 2015.
The popular American department store chain, which sells brand labels at discounted prices, is moving into the vacant Stonebridge unit on Paul Quay.
A recruitment drive for the store was held in early March, and the company is expected to employ up to 40 people.
The planned opening has been largely well-received, with many viewing it as a positive addition to the town.
In September 2014, an objection by Wexford businessman Nigel Hamilton against the chosen location was rejected by An Bord Pleanála. The following October, the company agreed rental terms for the Stonebridge retail unit on Wexford’s quay-front.
This is a proposed opening date and may be subject to change.
