Whites for Music in Wexford has closed after 30 years of trading.
The popular music store on Wexford’s South Main Street sold concert tickets, CDs, MP3 players, and other electrical goods.
The rise of free internet downloads and digital services such as iTunes and Amazon has made it increasingly difficult for many music stores to compete, as physical sales of CDs and DVDs continue to slump.
A handwritten note placed in the window of the store said that the business had ceased trading and would not be reopening.
It remains unclear who will take over the sale of Ticketmaster tickets in the town.
