Wexford woman offers Croke Park residents free accommodation during Garth Brooks concerts

A Wexford woman has offered her two spare bedrooms to Croke Park residents if they agree to let the five Garth Brooks concerts go ahead.

The woman, who identified herself as Margaret while speaking to Joe Duffy on RTÉ’s Liveline radio show, hopes to attend Monday’s concert. She said she would take four people into her house during the concerts and provide them with a full Irish breakfast each morning.

“If the residents need a holiday away from Garth Brooks, I’ll take four of them, for no charge at all,” she said.

“I’ll do a full Irish Breakfast for them every morning, if they want. Wexford is a gorgeous county and there will be a lot of places to see. It’ll be a little holiday for them.”

She said that other people around the country would follow suit if the concerts went ahead as originally planned.
