Wexford at risk of spot flooding as Met Éireann issues rainfall warning

Met Éireann have issued a rainfall warning for counties Wexford, Dublin, Carlow, Kilkenny, Wicklow, Cork and Waterford.

Roughly 25-40 mm of rain is expected to fall between now and Saturday morning.

Met Éireann, which is the national meteorological service in Ireland, has also warned that there is a risk of spot flooding in some areas.

Wexford and other areas on the south-east coast of Ireland are expected to see the worst of the rain.

As it stands, a “Status Yellow” national weather warning is in effect.
