Update (5PM): Gardaí have announced that Sait Canbullu has been found safe and well in County Sligo.
Gardaí called off the Child Rescue Alert for missing teenager Sait Canbullu after they stated that they no longer believe he was abducted by men in ski masks. Gardaí are still treating his whereabouts as a missing persons case.
The alert was issued yesterday when Gardaí received reports that the 15-year-old had been kidnapped by masked men. According to the reports, two men set upon Sait at the junction between Rowe Street and High Street in Wexford Town.
However, since then, they have made “extensive enquiries” and have said they are satisfied with the theory that there was no abduction.
