Ralph the customs dog discovers drugs worth over €500,000 in Rosslare, Wexford

Customs officers today seized €534,280 worth of heroin, ecstasy, and cannabis resin in Rosslare, County Wexford.

Gardaí detained an Irish man in his thirties and a 40-year-old Scottish national after “Ralph the Rosslare customs dog” discovered the drugs in the fuel tank of a UK-registered vehicle. The two men had been travelling from Cherbourg in France.

Customs recovered 2.7 kilos of heroin, 1 kilo of cannabis resin, and 1 kilo of ecstasy, along with a small quantity of LSD tablets.

The two men are currently being questioned at the Wexford garda station in Wexford Town.

The seizure comes after Gardaí seized over €6 million worth of heroin and cocaine in Drogheda, County Louth, and Donnybrook, Dublin.
