Over 70 acts have pre-registered for a free audition place, but organisers say some spaces remain for those who register on the day between noon and 6 pm.

A panel of at least three judges from a pool of 15 will assess performers throughout the audition stages. The competition is open to all ages and talent types, and entry is free. The winner will receive a €2,000 prize fund, with two runners-up receiving €500 each.

The judges and MCs include well-known personalities from around the county, with Councillor George Lawlor serving as guest MC. Organisers say there is still time to book an audition appointment at www.wexfordhastalent.com, or performers can turn up on the day to queue for an audition slot.

From the auditions, a shortlist of between 24 and 30 acts will advance to the live audience semi-finals at Clayton Whites Hotel. Two semi-finals will take place on Saturday 20 January and Saturday 27 January 2018, with the grand final on Saturday 24 February 2018.

Tickets for the fourth annual Wexford Has Talent semi-finals and grand final are now on sale at Clayton Whites Hotel, priced at €10 for each semi-final and €15 for the grand final. All live shows begin at 8 pm.
