Wexford man admits to stabbing his wife “up to 50 times”

A Wexford man has admitted to stabbing his wife to death in Lutry, Switzerland.

Harry Ringwood, who is originally from Enniscorthy in County Wexford, admitted to police that he stabbed his wife “up to 50 times”.

Today, Swiss authorities released the following statement:

“The husband of the woman found dead in her apartment in Lutry on the 23rd of March, 2015, has admitted to her murder. This man (Ringwood) has admitted to killing his wife by stabbing her 50 times. He acted after a dispute with his wife. He then tried to take his own life.”

The Enniscorthy native is now awaiting trial.
