Trial for murder of Kenny Meyler set to begin next Monday

The trial for the murder of Wexford man Kenyon (Kenny) Meyler is set to begin in Perth next Monday.

Irishman Vincent Martin Crowe (33), who was living in the suburb of Atwell, Perth, at the time of the attack, is due to stand trial for the murder of Kenny Meyler.

On Sunday, the 10th of February, 2013, Meyler was stabbed in the neck during a party at a residence in Scarborough, Perth, in western Australia.

Afterwards, he was brought to Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital, where he remained on life support until he passed away on Saturday, the 16th of February.

Shortly after Meyler’s death, Crowe, who is an Irish native, had his charges upgraded from “intent to do grievous bodily harm” to “murder”.

Kenny’s parents, Melanie Meyler and Dermot Moloney, will be flying out to Australia to attend the trial, which is expected to run over the course of the next three weeks.
