Wexford hurling legend tackles vandal on South Main Street

Wexford hurling legend Larry O’Gorman leapt into action on St. Stephen’s Day when he apprehended a vandal who was causing trouble on Wexford’s South Main Street.

According to one onlooker, the vandal, who had been drinking at a nearby pub, was hitting parked cars, kicking shop windows, and waving a cement block that he had picked up.

O’Gorman, who was part of the Wexford team that won the All-Ireland Hurling Championship in 1996, was driving through the area when he spotted the man.

Upon realising that the man intended to cause damage, O’Gorman jumped out of his car and asked him to stop. The man then threw the block he was carrying at the front window of fashion boutique Louaine.

After the man threw the block, O’Gorman apprehended him and held him up against a van until Gardaí arrived at the scene.
