Clayton Whites: The new brand name of Whites Hotel.

Clayton Whites Wexford

Whites Hotel in Wexford Town is set to rename itself to Clayton Whites this week. The new brand name, which is already in use on several hotel booking websites, is set to be officially unveiled on Thursday.

The official announcement will take place one year to the day after Dalata Hotel Group purchased both Whites Hotel in Wexford and Clayton Hotel in Galway for €31.7 million.

The four star hotel, which dates back to the 18th Century, was reopened in June of 2006 after a major €55 million redevelopment. In July of 2009, it was announced that the hotel had gone into receivership.

In April of 2014, the hotel was put up for sale by Ulster Bank, before being purchased by Dalata Hotel Group.
