Cistín Eile was a traditional Irish restaurant at 80 South Main Street in Wexford Town. It closed in September 2022.
Prior to Cistín Eile, the building housed Teo’s Mediterranean restaurant.

Warren Gillen, a Wexford chef, opened Cistín Eile in 2010.
Customers held Cistín Eile in high regard for its lunch offerings, including the chicken salad sandwich and home fries: simple but well-executed dishes.

The restaurant announced its closure, citing rising costs and a lack of trained workers. At the time, Ireland faced rising inflation and record low unemployment, making it difficult for many businesses to find and retain employees.
At the end of 2023, the building became home to Santorinis, another well-regarded Mediterranean restaurant. Cistín Eile was a fixture of Wexford Town’s dining scene for over a decade, remembered for its straightforward, well-prepared food.
