Rescue 117 airlifted a man in his 30s to Waterford yesterday after he fell near the waterfall at Edenvale in Castlebridge, County Wexford. He is believed to have broken his leg in the fall.
The Irish Coast Guard helicopter responded to the scene at approximately 3 p.m. yesterday. Crew members moved the man to an area where they could airlift him.
The helicopter brought him to Waterford Airport, where a waiting ambulance transferred him to University Hospital Waterford.
