Cocaine and “house-breaking implements” discovered at Gorey checkpoint.

A man in his late 20s has been arrested after Gardaí discovered €30,000 worth of cocaine at a checkpoint in Gorey, Co Wexford.

The car that the man was travelling in was stopped at an Operation Thor crime checkpoint by Gardaí on Wednesday, the 24th of February.

During a routine search of the car, two bags of cocaine worth an estimated €30,000 were discovered.

A spokesperson for the An Garda Síochána also stated that a number of “house-breaking implements” were found.

The man was arrested and detained under Section Four of the Criminal Justice Act.

He is to appear at a sitting of the Gorey District Court later today.
