Earlier today, a large fire broke out at a house on Peter Street in Wexford Town.
The blaze was reported at approximately 3.30pm. Gardaí quickly reached the scene and cordoned off the area.

Two fire engines from Wexford Fire Service arrived shortly afterwards and brought the flames under control. The fire caused extensive damage to the house, quickly spreading to the wooden roof beams.
Thick grey smoke filled the surrounding area, visible to onlookers as far away as Ferrybank.
Nobody was in the house at the time.
