The Coca Cola Christmas truck will be visiting Wexford Town on Sunday, the 14th of December. The truck, which was the star of the iconic “Holidays are Coming” advert, will be at Tesco on Distillery Road between the times of 4.30PM and 9PM.
Credit Union ‘Robbery’.
Reports of a robbery at the Credit Union on Anne Street in Wexford Town have turned out to be inaccurate. A false alarm was sounded yesterday morning when a panic button was accidentally pressed.
Gorey bookies raid.
Two armed raiders entered the Boyle Sports store in Gorey on Tuesday evening at approximately 6.05PM. The raiders made off with a small sum of money before fleeing in the direction of Pearse Street, where they drove off in a dark-coloured car. One of the men was believed to have been carrying a handgun. Anyone with information about the robbery is being asked to contact the Gorey Garda Station on 053 9430690.
Gardaí investigate tragic death of baby boy.
The An Garda Síochána are investigating the sudden death of a baby boy in Castlebridge, Wexford. 19-month-old Fiachra McMahon was discovered in an unresponsive state at a local montessori school on Tuesday afternoon. He was later pronounced dead after efforts to revive him proved to be unsuccessful. The boy’s death is being treated as a tragic accident.
Lotto win for Wexford syndicate.
A syndicate of nurses from Wexford General Hospital managed to scoop the €2.9 million lotto jackpot on Wednesday night. Members of the syndicate, which is comprised of five staff members and twelve retired nurses, will receive a share of €170,000 each.
Selskar Under The Stars.
Mick Flannery will take to the stage tonight as “Selskar Under The Stars” kicks off. The event, which is apart of the Wexford Winterland festival, will be held in the Selskar area of Wexford Town.
