The proposed opening date of T.K. Maxx in Wexford Town has been set for Thursday, the 11th of June, 2015.
The popular American department store chain, which sells brand labels at discounted prices, is currently in the process of moving into the vacant Stonebridge unit on Paul Quay.
A recruitment drive for the store was held at the beginning of March and it is expected that up to 40 people will be employed by the company.
The planned opening of T.K. Maxx has been well-received by most, with many seeing it as a positive addition to the town.
In September of 2014, an objection by Wexford businessman Nigel Hamilton against the chosen location of the department store was rejected by An Bord Pleanála. The following October, the company agreed rental terms for its usage of the Stonebridge retail on Wexford’s quay-front.
Readers should be advised that this is a proposed opening date and that it may be subject to change.
