Video: Behind-the-scenes footage of Saving Private Ryan on Curracloe Beach.

Recently, the Irish Defence Forces released a Youtube video showing behind-the-scenes footage of Saving Private Ryan being filmed on Curracloe Beach in County Wexford. The video includes interviews from movie producers, advisors and military trainers.

The 1998 war movie was set during the Normandy Invasion (D-Day) of World War Two. The exciting battle scenes of allied soldiers storming the beaches of Normandy were filmed in Ballinesker Beach, Curracloe Strand and Ballinesker back in June of 1997.
