Wexford ranks worst for drink driving

According to figures released by the Department of Transport, County Wexford has the highest rate of “drink driving” and “driving without a seat belt”.

The figures, which were published in today’s issue of the Farmers Journal, show that the rate of drink driving offences in County Wexford is almost double the national average.

In 2013, 629 motorists in County Wexford received penalty points for driving while over the limit, with the figure rising each month:
