London: Two people sentenced to life for murder of Wexford man

Fiona Nalty (25) and Arry Green (22) have been sentenced to life in prison for the murder of Wexford man Michael Hunt.

The couple, who must serve a minimum of 19 years in prison before being considered for release, savagely beat Hunt before stripping him naked and dumping him into a skip.

Later, the father of four was discovered and taken to hospital, where he died five hours later.

According to one pathologist, Hunt’s head injuries were similar to the injuries of a boxer that had been repeatedly punched in the head.

During sentencing, Judge Stephen Kramer QC told the couple that they “knew perfectly well” what they were doing, despite being intoxicated. He described the attack as “brutal, sustained and lethal.”

Hunt and his family had moved to London from Kilmore Quay in Wexford 17 years ago.
