Irishman Vincent Martin Crowe has been sentenced to 17 years in prison for the murder of Kenyon “Kenny” Meyler.
The 35-year-old admitted to stabbing the Wexford man at a house party in Perth, Australia, in February of 2013.
During the trial, Crowe told the court that he could not remember the events of the party, as he had been drinking alcohol and taking the drug Mephedrone.
Last Friday, following a retrial, Crowe was found guilty of Meyler’s murder.
During the sentencing of Vincent Martin Crowe, Kenyon’s mother Melanie Meyler said “I am lost without Kenny. A part of me left with my son. My world fell apart.”
