Wexford County Council: Exercise caution in coastal areas

Wexford County Council is asking the public to exercise caution at piers, harbours, and other coastal areas. The warning comes following a Status Yellow weather alert issued by Met Éireann this morning.

According to forecasts, wind speeds in coastal counties are expected to reach between 44 and 55 km/h, with gusts of up to 80 km/h. As midnight approaches, these wind speeds are expected to increase.

Wexford County Council has said that strong winds and high seas are expected to continue until Friday morning. As a result, piers and harbours may be exposed.
